DARKWHITECAVE

ASK   "When I find the swanlights, my eyes cry species, casting green and gold upon the black water. When a Horse jumped from a Dolphin's body, a crystal white shard of living light pierced through my gut like a whaler's spear; it tore through my stomach, that revealing curse. Apollo calls his prey, and sirens sweat the bluebell's coarse toward thin spiral memories. I ache, the white plateau... so grant me absence, that the golden threads may rise at last, my eyes dumb blind and donefold. "

“Grass Widow is the term means a woman whose husband is often away for long period of time. For Bianca Casady , known more often as the sister of the mustachioed American duo CocoRosie , this definition is extended to the existential condition of waiting, a temporary state of perpetual transience. The loneliness and isolation that often results provoke stages of strangeness to a reality that seems distant, detached and unknown. The differences and clichés in which we are trapped, thus, reversed by the artist in collages of images where the aesthetics of kitsch enhances any contradiction.

Locks of hair, glitter, colored feathers, rainbows, textiles, Burka, stickers and sparkling Gothic figures inhabit the imagination of white as in a parallel world of dreams and fantasies. The expectations, in fact. The man and woman, the word and image, the visible and the hidden alternate guided by poetry, not just visual, the artist wrote on the walls of the space. As in a dream journey Freud, sexuality is central to this complaint to normal: men and women alike wear the burqa and glorify their bodies in front of the video. The transformation becomes the central theme of his research. “
